Yukon Express Entry Skilled Worker: Applicant Requirements

  • Have the funds necessary for the establishment to support themselves and their families in Canada (even if their family does not come with them).
  • Have a valid, permanent, full-time job offer from a Yukon employer.
  • Plan to live in the Yukon.

Yukon Express Entry Skilled Trades: Applicant Requirements

  • Meet the minimum requirements of the federal skilled trades program.
  • Be accepted into the IRCC Express Entry pool and have an Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
  • Have the funds necessary for the establishment to support themselves and their families in Canada (even if their family does not come with them).
  • Have a valid, permanent, full-time job offer from a Yukon employer.
  • Have a required skilled trades qualification certificate issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority. To obtain a certificate in the Yukon, the Apprenticeship and Occupational Qualifications Authority will assess the applicant’s education, experience, and skills to decide if they are eligible to write an exam.
  • Plan to live in the Yukon.

Canada Express Entry Yukon Experience Category: Applicant Requirements

  • Meet the minimum requirements of the Federal Canadian Experience Class.
  • Be accepted into the IRCC Express Entry pool and have an Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
  • Have a valid, permanent, full-time job offer from a Yukon employer.
  • Plan to live in the Yukon.

(2) Yukon Skilled Worker Category

Yukon skilled worker category targets job applicants in skill levels NOC 0, A and B

Requirements

  • Professional experience of at least one year directly related to the proposed position.
  • Education and work experience that meet all job requirements according to the criteria specified in the National Occupational Classification. Minimum high school diploma.
  • For skill levels 0 and A, candidates must have the following minimum language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, depending on the test used:
  1. CELPIP (English): Level 7
  2. IELTS (English): Level 6
  3. TEF (English): level 4

For skill level B, candidates must have the following minimum language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, depending on the test used:

  1. CELPIP (English): level 5
  2. IELTS (English): Level 5
  3. TEF (English): level 3

(3) Yukon critical impact worker class

The Yukon Critical Impact worker category targets job applicants in the NOC C and D skill levels.

Requirements

  • At least six months of work experience directly related to the proposed position.
  • Education and work experience that meet all job requirements according to the criteria specified in the National Occupational Classification. Minimum high school diploma.
  • For skill levels 0 and A, candidates must have the following minimum language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, depending on the test used:
  1. CELPIP (English): Level 4
  2. IELTS (English): Level 4
  3. TEF (English): level 3
